Julia Orupabo earned her PhD in sociology from the University of Oslo in 2014. Her research interests are ethnic and gender segregation within the labor market and education. Her latest publication is the book Women’s jobs, men’s jobs and immigrant’s jobs (Kvinnejobber, mannsjobber og innvandrerjobber).
Orupabo is co-editor of the Norwegian Journal of Sociology, the Norwegian journal of working life studies, and member of the editorial board of Sosiologen.no. She is also board member of the think tank Manifest and a deputy member of the Norwegian Non-fiction Writers and Translators Association (NFF).
